Grey Matters
Associated with two safari camps in the Okavango Delta, is the Living with Elephants Foundation. They provide a second home and a safe life in the wilderness for rescued elephants. It is as close as you can get to a free roaming existence and we rate it as a highly ethical experience.
Basically, you pre-book this activity when staying at either Sanctuary Baine’s Camp or Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp and enjoy a morning of interaction with the elephants and a picnic lunch in their company. You walk through the bush with Jabu (an orphaned male) and Morula, a sweet gentle female. Both are highly habituated to people and are very safe to be around.
Children from 9 years old can enjoy this activity with their parents
Pre-booking is essential to avoid dissapointment
