Vic Falls Hotel in a Nutshell
This Edwardian-style hotel, built in 1904, was recently redecorated and refurbished and now combines the charm of the old with the convenience of the new. The gardens are lush and tropical and the Victoria Falls are only a ten minute walk away from the hotel. This hotel is convenient and central and takes the visitor back in time. There are other less formal alternatives available but some people find the charm of this old hotel hard to resist.

The hotel has a booking office near to reception where you can easily do all your bookings directly.
Lodge Environment
This is a big hotel and does not pretend to be anything else. We like the fact that you can see the spray of the falls and the historic railway bridge spanning the gorge from the hotel grounds. There are certainly no other locations that come close to matching this. There are many types of rooms on offer here with the standard rooms being very adequate. Do enquire if you would like to consider more comfort and style as there are many options to upgrade.
A recent refurbishment means that the rooms and fittings are much more modern, while the theme has very mush remained Edwardian. This styling may not be to everyone’s taste, but it certainly does create an atmosphere of bygone times.
A highlight must be high tea out on the terrace with a view of the falls, which is worth experiencing even if you choose not to stay in the hotel.
As befits Zimbabwe’s grandest and oldest luxury hotel, The Victoria Falls Hotel presents a connoisseur’s delight of dining options, with internationally-trained chefs creating exquisite dishes.
Both the signature Livingstone Room and the thatched outdoor-style Jungle Junction restaurants offer great food. The hotel is renowned for its cheerful staff and five-star service. Of course, a fine selection of wines is available.
